This item is everything I was looking for. I can get temperatures from more than 12 feet away that are accurate with the laser.
I did not want the cheapest one, nor the most expensive, after reading reviews i chose this model and it was everything I imagined it would be.
So far I have taken around 300 temp readings in the last week and even found cold spots in the house walls. Have taken temps of AC units to see if they are working properly. But mostly it is just curiosity making me get a reading of various objects around me.
The two batteries seem to last forever. I have taken 300 temp readings and the battery indicator still says full.
This infrared thermometer quickly reads surface temperatures and provides a clear display in Fahrenheit or Celsius. It has an impact resistant build and is fun to use. Great for checking the ground on summer days when bare feet would suffer. A great tool for firefighters. Batteries are included.
Seems pretty accurate, and calibration is not really necessary, just an added bonus feature.

This device works perfectly as described. It seems pretty accurate based on pointing it at known temperature objects like hot water from the tap and the wall of my home near the thermostat. I wasn’t sure at first if the calibration would be too complicated, but it turns out, you don’t really need to do that at all unless it is a really shiny reflective material. It comes with an easy guide, but most surfaces are perfect with the default setting
I wish I had known before I bought it that it was not to be used to test human temperature. I probably would not have purchased it. I’ve used it for that purpose; giving a 5 – 6 degree approximate difference between external and internal body temperature. I mistakenly shined the light into my eye, even though I knew not to do so. I would suggest you put a clear warning on the qallexpress site descriptive literature..

As noted, it’s super easy to use, and can be adjusted to measure the right substance correctly. Laser can be turned on or off, just wish they could turn off the beep. Extremely simple to use.
Pulled it out of the box, popped in the batteries, read the quick use chart to adjust for type of surface and it gave me an accurate temperature instantly. Very easy to use, lightweight and compact. Definitely something to have in your tool box to test home insulation amongst other things.
Works great the codes that came with it are the best help for a more accurate reading I’ve tested it against a very expensive and calibrated commercial digital thermometer and it was spot on with the right code inputted
This is the perfect thermometer to check if there are any leaks near the windows, doors or anywhere. I noticed a leak with this thermometer near my fireplace that I didn’t securely close the glass door. I was playing with this like a little kid. It pretty much measures the temperature of anything like liquids or solids, gives reading in a fraction of second and it is accurate. Easy to use, it just takes 2 x AAA batteries. its a must needed tool in every household.

My favorite feature is that it is constantly ready while the trigger is pushed rather than just a spot measurement. That way when I am using it to check my stove pipe for hot spots I get a good scan. I can’t speak to the accuracy of the measurements, but I have no reason to doubt it. It looks a feels like a quality product.

I use this at work (auto technician) to measure temperature of brake rotors for braking concerns and for AC vent temperature in the summer time. once you read the instructions and adjust the emissivity level to the correct level you will get very accurate reading. its super easy to use. point and click. as a fun test when my foot was cold i found my toes vary in temp by 2.5 degrees. lol.
I am an automotive technician for a Maserati dealer in southern California. I normally buy specially tools from the trucks ( Snap-on, Matco, Cornwell, Mac). I did some research and was sold by the lifetime warranty on the product which is why I buy my tools. My co-worker was impressed with the tool he bought himself one also.
The thermometer works very well and light weight. It very easy to use, just need to install the bateries and then hold the trigger to read temperature. The screen of it has big font size, so it easy to read the temperature. It can measure various things in home, even on skin.
I always wanted a infrared gun to use with my pizza oven so I can see what the correct temp is. This infrared gun is great, it’s small, light weight, accurate, and you can change the temp from Fahrenheit to Celsius easily. I used it in my kitchen as it’s still cold outside so have not fired up the pizza oven but I used it in my home oven and it reads the temperature very accurate. Love this product so far.

I’m a woodburner in the cold months in Ohio, and keep a magnetic stove thermometer on the top of my woodburner to monitor the temperature of the cast iron stove. Those thermometers last a year and a half at most: the magnetic ability is lost due to occasional overheating, which also diminishes its accuracy and readability of the pad-printed temperature scale on its face. They’re the same price as this product. Ease of use and accuracy out of the box is phenomenal; it never touches the hot surface so will never suffer heat damage; the warranty for such an inexpensive item is outstanding; and it even included batteries!

main reason to buy this was for my compost pile but ive also used it to check the temprature of the grill against the built in thermometer and it was so close i couldnt tell a difference from the analog gauge. i often work on my jeep as well and will be using this to check the temp.
the emissivity chart is nice but should be a heavier weight paper and laminiated. i will just “laminate” it with clear packing tape to keep it clean and hopefully not get damaged or torn.
another small add on could be a spot to add a wrist lanyard and maybe a stand or case to protect the lense from dust. for the time being i will store this item in the box it came in until i can find something suitable to store it in.
it did come with batteries and is well balanced and easy to use. the bright orange color makes it easy to find if i put it down in the garage.
Wow. What an amazing unit for the price. You can’t argue with this I would definitely buy this item again. It seems to be accurate within a degree even at the lower end of its range note the photo I took of testing it against the housing of a regular digital thermometer (the 63% on right of the regular thermometer depicted incidentally is relative humidity not temp) and they seem to agree within about a degree of accuracy. My beer fridge is good and cold in fact I think I can stand to kick the fridge down a notch lol. Coffee pot good and hot – lol. The REAL reason I bought this item is to test battery temps and engine components working on my camper and golf cart and truck and things but I wanted to go ahead and review this amazing little unit so I found things around the house lol. It’s really a cool little gadget and if you are remotely interested in it – do not hesitate this is a great buy :).
Works great, really like it, good range for the price with variable emissivity for more accurate readings when using it on various materials. Tested and Works well on quartz nail, metals, glass, stone, skin, liquid, ran it by my forehead 98.6. Very stable, will re read the same temperature with little or no change if the temp/position haven’t changed. If you need one of these this is the best choice for the money in my opinion.
My wife had been complaining that our bedroom seemed hotter than the rest of the house. I read some of the other reviews left for this product and saw that people were able to check the temperatures around the vents. I got it the other day and finally got to test it out. It was easy enough to use and switch to different materials using the guide it came with. While I purchased this for a specific task, I have quickly found myself check the temperature of random things around the house. I am satisfied with the purchase
I just got this today but I’ve been playing around with it. Overall it seems very accurate. I use one at work to make sure our AC system is working and when I compare the two there is a very slight variance. However, the other model does note have EMS so I bet it is less accurate. The other thing to consider is the field of view. Many people think that wherever the laser is pointing is what it’s measuring the temperature of. However, on these unit’s it is 12:1. So if you’re 1 foot away from what your laser is pointing at it will tell you the temperature of the 12″ diameter around that area. The other unit i use is 10:1…better or worse if for you to decide. The EMS setting is super handy if you want to ensure you’re getting an accurate reading based on the surface you’re measuring. However, for the average Joe who just needs an average idea of if they can touch something that was once hot etc, leaving the EMS around 90 gives you a plenty accurate enough reading. Worth the price for the convenience. Good for around the house and in the garage. Can’t speak to longevity because I just got it, but as long as it lasts and it’s warranty is backed up, I’m happy.

I got this mainly because I love to cook outdoor on my Blackstone, on my grills, and smokers. Sometimes you really need to know your hotspots so you can get good seats and also you don’t overcook your food. So this helps a lot.
It is made of good quality plastic. Easy to grip and really sturdy. It comes with the battery so no need to buy it separately.
To use you just point and press the trigger. It will turn on automatically. As long as you keep the trigger press it will continue measuring the temperature and once you release the trigger it will display the temp for a minute or so and then it will shut down automatically.
The screen is easy to read. It’s backlit so you can use it at night and you can change between Celcius and Farenheit.
I have really enjoyed this infrared thermometer and have found myself using it for many more use cases than I originally anticipated. It is super easy to use, easy to read, and works great right out of the box. Just put in 2 x AAA batteries and you are good to go. I have used this on various surfaces, liquids, etc. The build quality is nice, it doesn’t seem like it would break even if you dropped it on a hard surface. The results seem to be quite accurate as well. This is one of those tools that everyone would be happy to have around.
Easy to use and accurate. I’ve been using this around the house, most recently when the heat wasn’t working so I could check the temp coming out of the register. To show how quickly this adjusts to temperature changes I read the fire. The laser ability (can turn off and on) helps to pinpoint the area you’re trying to focus on.
This is a nice DIY’er tool. I found the instructions to be not only very readable, but complete as well (can’t say that about all imported goods I’m afraid). It is fairly intuitive, so the instructions aren’t critical, but helpful just the same. Batteries being included is a plus. Helpful explanation regarding distance and readings. First time I have seen that included in the documentation. The plastic grip seems a bit more flimsy than others I’ve used, but for the price, it can’t be beat.
This works very well. I had hoped to measure our body temperature with it but it’s not meant for that. My wife was telling me that the compact fluorescent light was harmful to her plants below it. I could point the laser at the bulb and it was cool as can be. This can be used to detect leaks in a heating system. I’m more than satisfied.
What a nifty little gadget here. Works well, looks well built, and who can complain about the low price. It came complete with good instructions and even batteries. Of course I tried it out on everything I could find for fun. I understand you need to be close to get an accurate measurement but even at a distance it seemed to work. My main purpose that I purchased it for was for cooking to test the grill and pan temperatures. I’m very happy with my purchase.
I’ve been looking for one of these for a while now, and this one fit the bill with it’s low price and accuracy! I recently swapped out un-coated headers with ceramic coated headers and decided to see how how it gets with ceramic coating. it still gets SUPER hot (about 250-300 at idle, at the collector), but i cant imagine how much more radiant heat it put out before!
I get variations in readings on the exact same spot of the exact same surface of up to 3 degrees when tested multiple times in a row. I understand it may not be exactly accurate to true temp, but I certainly expected it to be much more consistent.
The seller sent me a new unit. Consistency is spot on now. Thanks for standing behind your product!
Tested this unit out upon arrival. Accurate, measured against a much more expensive Klein model. They were within 3 degrees, perfectly acceptable for the uses this unit will be used for. I use it to diagnose hvac issues, and sometimes for finding air leaks in houses, and finding water lines. Great unit for the price.
The first one I ordered was awesome. I liked it so much that I bought another one to keep in my shop. Upon unboxing I found there were no batteries and the box appeared to be opened. I put batteries in it and unfortunately it does not work. I will send this one back. The first one I ordered 6 months ago works like a champ and it was 4 dollars cheaper. Go figure.

Easy to use and accurate. I’ve been using this around the house, most recently when the heat wasn’t working so I could check the temp coming out of the register. To show how quickly this adjusts to temperature changes I read the fire. The laser ability (can turn off and on) helps to pinpoint the area you’re trying to focus on.

This is a nice DIY’er tool. I found the instructions to be not only very readable, but complete as well (can’t say that about all imported goods I’m afraid). It is fairly intuitive, so the instructions aren’t critical, but helpful just the same. Batteries being included is a plus. Helpful explanation regarding distance and readings. First time I have seen that included in the documentation. The plastic grip seems a bit more flimsy than others I’ve used, but for the price, it can’t be beat.

This works very well. I had hoped to measure our body temperature with it but it’s not meant for that. My wife was telling me that the compact fluorescent light was harmful to her plants below it. I could point the laser at the bulb and it was cool as can be. This can be used to detect leaks in a heating system. I’m more than satisfied.

What a nifty little gadget here. Works well, looks well built, and who can complain about the low price. It came complete with good instructions and even batteries. Of course I tried it out on everything I could find for fun. I understand you need to be close to get an accurate measurement but even at a distance it seemed to work. My main purpose that I purchased it for was for cooking to test the grill and pan temperatures. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I’ve been looking for one of these for a while now, and this one fit the bill with it’s low price and accuracy! I recently swapped out un-coated headers with ceramic coated headers and decided to see how how it gets with ceramic coating. it still gets SUPER hot (about 250-300 at idle, at the collector), but i cant imagine how much more radiant heat it put out before!

I get variations in readings on the exact same spot of the exact same surface of up to 3 degrees when tested multiple times in a row. I understand it may not be exactly accurate to true temp, but I certainly expected it to be much more consistent.
The seller sent me a new unit. Consistency is spot on now. Thanks for standing behind your product!

Tested this unit out upon arrival. Accurate, measured against a much more expensive Klein model. They were within 3 degrees, perfectly acceptable for the uses this unit will be used for. I use it to diagnose hvac issues, and sometimes for finding air leaks in houses, and finding water lines. Great unit for the price.

The first one I ordered was awesome. I liked it so much that I bought another one to keep in my shop. Upon unboxing I found there were no batteries and the box appeared to be opened. I put batteries in it and unfortunately it does not work. I will send this one back. The first one I ordered 6 months ago works like a champ and it was 4 dollars cheaper. Go figure.
